I only took a tour, I didn’t stay. It might suit some people, but it wasn’t what I’d expected from the description.

DON’T RENT HERE! DISHONEST LANDLORD! My husband stayed in one of the rooms for almost three months, paid everything as agreed, and caused no damage. When he moved out on 30/10/2024, Nuno Figueira was supposed to return the deposit he’d paid at move-in. The contract said it should be refunded by 30/11/24, but as of 15/01/2025 he still hasn’t received it. Nuno blocked my husband’s phone number and didn’t pay.

I was deceived by Nuno Figueira of Global Guest. Global Guest’s rental listings should be removed from the platforms because they are misleading. To Global Guest, As a customer of your short-term rental company, I want to report what happened. I contacted Nuno Figueira about renting a place for six people in a central area of Sintra, near the beaches and shops. He confirmed a three-bedroom property with a living room, one bathroom, and a kitchen, using photos and a guided tour. Starting in May 2024, I paid €2,500 for 30 days, from 28 July to 28 August 2024. The day before we were due to arrive, Nuno told me on WhatsApp that the property had been closed and was unavailable. He offered two alternatives, neither of which matched what we had agreed and paid for. One was in a remote part of Sintra, with shared access and kitchen, no privacy, far from the center and without public transport. The other was in Parque das Nações and had just one bedroom, clearly too small for the six people requested and paid for. Nuno called this last-minute disruption an “unexpected event.” Our family had to split up and rent another place, with some of us staying in the tiny Parque das Nações apartment. We demand reimbursement for the extra accommodation costs, since the original booking was supposed to house all six and the company cancelled it at the last minute. The changes also caused disruption beyond our control. Please tell me what Global Guest will do about this. We reserve the right to take legal action to seek compensation for the harm suffered.

Zero stars. Not recommended. It was awful from arrival to departure. Nuno Figueiredo only answered after several calls and showed no interest in the complaints. His replies were arrogant. The conditions were so inhumane that I felt I had to report them to the police. There was no refund. I wish I could post photos of the filth at global guest. The smell was unbearable too. How can a place like this stay open for people to rest, with prices so far above what it’s worth? There was no hygiene and no empathy. Stay away. I do not recommend it.
