The Biester Charm House Sintra

Getting around on foot can be tough: the sights aren’t far away, but the roads are really steep. Private parking is a must in this area, so that was a big plus. The mansion sits in the mountains near the attractions, and the interior mixes classical details with contemporary touches. My room was clean, roomy, and nicely decorated, with bedding that was both firm and soft. The shower was weak, though, and the heating vent blew straight toward the side of the bed where my head was. Breakfast in the contemporary room was a great start to the day. The professional staff were friendly, always smiling, and very attentive. A wonderful stay, and I’d love to check in again next time I’m in Sintra. Two thumbs up!

The owner is very kind, and the grounds are lovely. Food was fine, and there was plenty of espresso. The service was friendly too. You’re well placed for walking into town, as long as you’re okay with a traffic corner that can feel a bit hair-raising. It’s a wonderful place to stay if you can afford it. Most of the cost was covered for me, so I can’t really judge whether it’s good value.

We loved being able to walk into the village, then take a little tuk tuk back. The location worked really well for us, and the room was clean and spacious. Breakfast each morning had fresh fruit, handmade danishes, and other baked goods. The staff were kind, helpful, spoke perfect English, and took care of every need we could think of. We loved our stay and can’t wait to come back!

They went out of their way to give us a full breakfast an hour before the usual start because our flight was so early. It was very nice, and the staff were professional and attentive throughout, aiming for that luxury hotel feeling rather than a B&B. The place had been updated 2 years ago. It’s quaint but modern, with high-quality rooms, a large living room, and a pool that wasn’t open during our April visit but should be great in summer. There’s onsite parking too, which feels like a miracle if you’ve driven in Sintra. A nice option if you’re after a boutique luxury stay in a charming setting at a reasonable price.
