Wine Inn Studio

We felt very unsafe because the street-level door was so easy to open, and the lighting throughout the studio was broken. The room had no adequate heating for such a large space, and cold air came through a hole in the bathroom wall that opened onto the street. We could hear everything the workers were saying through it. They were making noise at 7:00 AM while the building was under construction and didn’t respect our rest. Parking nearby was impossible, which should have been mentioned. The directions were terrible and poorly explained, and the owners didn’t answer calls or messages. The towels were dirty, and the included breakfast was awful, with everything expired and rancid. The shower had almost no pressure, and the hot water was barely there. I also didn’t like that the room was at street level with a door that offered no security.

I’m leaving this review so someone else doesn’t get the same surprise. The photos make the place look spectacular, but the reality was shabby, and it cost the same as a four-star hotel. I really regret not choosing the hotel. It took us an hour to find the building. It was under construction, and the front entrance was barely visible. We tried calling the owner, but nobody answered, so we had to work it out ourselves. The room was at ground level, with a tiny curtain by the entrance, so people walking past could see inside. The front door was flimsy enough that anyone could get in. There was a huge hole in the bathroom wall that opened straight onto the street. It let in noise constantly and cold air. The included heating was just a small electric radiator that couldn’t warm the whole room. There was no hot water at the sink, and the shower water wasn’t very hot either. Yes, it’s central, but that doesn’t help much when parking is far away.

A very beautiful, cozy pousada right in the center of Sintra. Our room slept four, with a double bed and a large sofa bed. It had a portable heater, TV, coffee maker, and Wi-Fi, and the bathroom had an electric shower. There are a few restaurants nearby, and at the end of the street you reach the town center, with attractions for all kinds of tastes. I recommend it!

We stayed for two nights and it was very good. The bed was really comfortable, towels were provided, and the location was central. Excellent.
