A Casa Amarela

So good!!

The pool was a good size and saltwater, and the outdoor area was really pleasant. It’s a very quiet spot where you can relax to the sounds of nature. The kitchens were well equipped and everything worked. We struggled with the heat in our T2. There was no air conditioning, the sun hit the house all day, and with five adults and two children it was especially hard to sleep at night. The towels should be replaced at least every two days instead of staying the same for the whole visit. There weren’t insect screens on every room, so flies and mosquitoes kept getting into the house. More insect devices would help. The TV setup could also be reconsidered, since watching required us to enter our personal Google account details, which we weren’t comfortable with.

The apartment had no air conditioning, and we felt the heat during the orange alert week in central Portugal. It was also short on kitchen equipment, with no microwave or freezer. Unfortunately, the pool had a problem too and ended up with only half its water. Apart from those issues, everything was good.

The apartments were comfortable, spotless, and well equipped, while the outdoor space was simple and practical. The pool and bar area fit in nicely. Ruben and Ingeborg welcomed us warmly from our very first contact, in a humble and honest way that made us feel at home. Casa Amarela was a wonderful surprise. I recommend it and hope to return when I can!
