The staff made us feel welcome from the moment we arrived, always helpful and friendly. Our room was very comfortable, spotlessly clean and tastefully decorated, and the hotel is beautifully kept with a modern, elegant style. The entrance is striking, too. Luna Hotel de Tábua is right in the center of town, a handy base for exploring the region. Breakfast had a good range of tasty options. It was raining, so we skipped the pool, though it looked lovely for a relaxing dip after sightseeing. We had a wonderful stay and would gladly recommend the hotel to anyone visiting the area.

Breakfast had loads to choose from, and the place was clean and relaxing. There’s a dinner bar and a spa, with restaurants within walking distance. Natural waterfalls and streams are a drive away.

The hotel and room were pleasant, the staff helpful and polite, and our evening meal at the restaurant was good value. Breakfast seemed a little under pressure, though. We booked a double room, but the bed was actually two singles pushed together, with a noticeable join, and apparently no proper double rooms were available. Still, it was a good value stop on our trip around northern Portugal.

We booked a two-room suite for the three of us. It wasn’t especially spacious, but it worked fine. Breakfast was decent, with bacon, omelet, sautéed mushrooms and fruit, though there weren’t any fresh vegetables like cucumbers or tomatoes. We arrived late in the evening needing somewhere to sleep for the night, without expecting much. I’d have liked to use the sauna and pool, but both close at 8 PM. I’m not sure whether anyone checks, but you need a swimming cap to use the pool.
