Quinta da Lontra

The setting along the Mondego River is a peaceful little slice of paradise. We swam, kayaked, paddleboarded and watched nature, and found quaint villages, waterfalls and rivers nearby to explore. The track down to the house looked scary at first, and I’m not a confident driver, but we managed just fine in a little Fiat Panda. Don’t let it put you off! The five of us were really comfortable. The house is stunning, inside and out, and you can see how much love and care the owners have put into every detail. It’s very well equipped, with every kitchen utensil we could think of, picnic containers, a coffee machine, fans for warm days, excellent bathrooms, plenty of sockets and Wi-Fi. There’s also a big, comfy deck for evenings together and a great outdoor barbecue area. We can’t thank the lovely owners enough for letting us stay. We’re looking forward to coming back many times.
