Months ago, we booked a room with a private bathroom, but then suddenly got a message saying we'd have to share one. They blamed Booking.com, though I suspect they downgraded us because they could sell our room for more. Communication was only in Portuguese, which was terrible. The management was awful, the staff unfriendly, poorly trained and rude. NOT RECOMMENDED!

Sooo dirty. The floor was sticky, the shower was completely moldy, and the shower mat felt slimy. There was no wifi in the rooms. The only room with wifi was really noisy. Disgusting...

The landlord and landlady were helpful at times, and my booking was very cheap, so I can't give it just one star. Still, it's hard to watch a pretty house that's a few centuries old get disfigured inside, since the law keeps them from changing the façade. The rooms were uncomfortable: you had to put up with either the heat or noise from the odd air conditioning, and the window wasn't practical to open. Getting to the bathroom was awkward too.

I really enjoyed my visit. The staff were friendly and it was simple, good, and great value for the price. A perfect place for lunch :D

A good local restaurant with both tourists and locals. The food is simple and good, the service is nice, and the prices are very good. I'd recommend it.
