My main issue is the one-hour limit. My family used to be able to spend more than two hours in the spa, which seems reasonable when you’re there to relax. Why is it only one hour now? At 20 euros for that short a visit, it feels crazy, especially since the spa quality doesn’t match the price. The saunas are quite weak, too. One hour isn’t enough to properly enjoy or relax, and paying 40 euros to stay for two hours would make me choose another hotel spa. I won’t be coming back.

There’s a good breakfast buffet, and the hotel sits in a nature reserve opposite Ile de Tavira with a regular boat shuttle from the hotel. I’d recommend renting a car, since Tavira town has plenty of good restaurants and bars and is about a 10-minute drive away.

I’ve stayed here many times and highly recommend it. The staff are extremely nice, the grounds are beautiful, and both the pool bar and main restaurant serve top-quality food. The rooms aren’t big, but they’re very comfortable. My favourite offering is the private boat trip to Terra Estreita beach, which is amazing. I tried the spa once too, and it was very good. For me, this is the best area of the Algarve, and I’ll definitely return.

A very nice hotel right by the ocean in Tavira, Portugal. There’s a spa, and a boat from the hotel can take you directly to the most beautiful Bounty Beach. The town is definitely worth a visit too.

We had such a special family stay at this beautiful place, with really lovely staff. We were there for 11 days at the end of March, early in the season, so the hotel had fewer guests and was very quiet. The beach is only a few metres away, and there’s a playground on the grounds, an indoor pool, and an outdoor pool. The food was delicious. We had a great time. We also took the rental car along the coast to different beaches and towns for some great outings. A rental car is highly advisable.
