There are good local amenities, including a bar, a restaurant, and an English pub on site, and I felt safe. The pool was very cold, though. A great place otherwise.

The apartments are roomy, the pool is good, and there are useful amenities on site, including bars and a gym. The train station is less than a five-minute walk away, and the promenade in Cabanas is about a 10-minute walk. There are lots of nice beaches a short drive away, so rent a car and explore them. A top place to stay in Conceicao or Cabanas.

Our older parents were staying here in Cabanas. It’s a lovely, quiet little place with a pool, bar, and restaurant. You don’t need to go far to enjoy the Portuguese life and sunshine. Lovely.

We’ve been living at O Pomar for almost a year and really like the complex. The pool is great, and Innamorato, right in the middle, is our go-to for food and drinks by the pool. Rota dos Sabores is only a five-minute walk away and is our favorite around here. Lupa in Conceição does the best pizza in town, too. We stopped going to The Old Barrel after nearly six months of daily visits. The service was hit or miss, and the owner drama put us off. I just want to have a beer with friends or my dog without getting caught up in that. Innamorato feels much more welcoming.
