A really pleasant place with a family feel. It's beautiful, with lots of trees and outdoor space, and they accept pets.

The owners are a very nice older couple, and we felt welcome right away. They’re hospitable and have put a lot of thought into the design and details. The house is outside Tavira among orange and olive groves, with a distant sea view from the balconies. There’s a small bar, a great pool, and free parking. Breakfast is mostly made up of local products. It's good value for money and a lovely choice for a quiet, relaxing holiday. Highly recommended.

From the terrace where breakfast is served, the ocean panorama is one of the best you could imagine in the Algarve. The fresh orange juice from the private garden is delicious too, though the rest of breakfast varies with the day's inspiration and the order things are brought out. The entrance makes a wonderful first impression: the photos look luxurious, and the lush Mediterranean driveway as the gate opens backs that up. But once parked by the villa, you see that a lot of things have seen better days. The friendly older couple running Quinta da Moura work hard to keep the estate and apartments in order, but the pool water isn't clean and parts of the garden need more care. The TV is a tiny model from a few decades ago, the interior is a jumble, and Wi-Fi doesn't reach your apartment, so you have to go outside and get close to the villa. It has its charms, but mostly feels like a place with a glorious past.

A car is essential for getting around and taking trips in the area. The setting itself is peaceful, with a beautiful location, a lovely garden, and a swimming pool. Staff are very friendly. There is a dog, but it behaves very well. Highly recommended for a relaxing stay.
