We loved the clean, beautiful room, the countryside view, and the gorgeous sunrise. The staff were nice, and for families this would definitely be a perfect place. We hadn’t realised it was clearly a family hotel. There were lots of young children around, especially at breakfast, where some were running around and touching the food without much supervision from their parents. The breakfast room also felt rather cramped with all the tables. For us, looking for a quiet break to relax, it wasn’t the right fit.

A lovely place to unwind, with a great pool, beautiful views, animals, and really nice, helpful staff. It’s kid-friendly too.

Pedro at the restaurant and bar was fantastic, especially with my child. He went out of his way to make us feel welcome, and his kindness made a real difference. The farm animals were very well cared for, breakfast was delicious, and the room met our basic needs. Check-in was frustrating. An older blonde woman at reception was rude and unhelpful, brushing off our requests with a smirk. We’d asked several times about early check-in, knowing it wasn’t guaranteed, but it was denied and we still waited 30 minutes past the regular check-in time. The front desk service needs work, though Pedro’s hospitality helped balance the stay. I still crave those soft croissants and fresh orange juice.

A very quiet, peaceful spot and a good base for visiting Tavira and the eastern Algarve. It’s great for families with little kids, with its own petting zoo: goats, a donkey, pony, ducks, chickens, and a turkey.

We had dinner at Quinta do Marco while staying at a different nearby hotel. There was a good range of local dishes with the restaurant’s own twist, and everything was nicely presented and tasted great. Dessert was delicious as well. Our waiter was extremely friendly and happy to explain some of the distinctive local dishes. We’ve put the hotel on our shortlist for a future stay.
