São Paulo Boutique Guest House

We were celebrating our birthdays in Tavira, and SPB Hotel turned out to be a wonderful place to do it. The team, including Mario and Dina, made us feel so well looked after, and we really didn't want to leave after three nights. Breakfast was generous and delicious, especially those cakes. The hotel is a great base for exploring Tavira's charm, with a good location and standout service. We'd come back in a heartbeat. If we could rate it 10/10 or 100/100, we would.

Tavira was such a relaxing stop on our Portugal and Spain trip, and this charming little hotel made it easy to enjoy. We loved the intimate feel and spent some time unwinding by the tiny pool, which we had to ourselves. It's a cute town along the river. We missed the beach, though we heard it's nice. From here, Andalucia is an easy drive, and Ronda and Seville are worth checking out.

Mario, the manager, was friendly. The hotel is right in the heart of town, next to Palace hotel, and has that boutique feel throughout. Every room has its own artistic touch, done with great taste.

Breakfast was a real treat, with fresh fruit and vegetables, eggs, and homemade cakes each day. Afterwards, we could take coffee or freshly squeezed juice into the living room and listen to vinyl. The whole stay felt like being in a Woody Allen movie, and the service had an elegant, polished feel. At São Paulo, even the small details seemed considered. Our spacious, stylish room had crisp white sheets that smelled of fresh apples, a homemade cake waiting on arrival, and quirky artwork around the hotel. I'd highly recommend it.
