Tavira Vila Formosa 1 With Pool by Homing

The location was quite nice, with a distant view of the beach, but nearly everything else was a huge disappointment during our three-week stay in Flat Nr. 2. We never felt welcome, and it seemed like whoever planned these holiday flats had no love for their guests. The apartment was badly ventilated and had a lot of mold, especially in the bathroom. Shower water wouldn’t drain, even overnight, and the toilet kept flushing on its own. None of the doors closed properly. The tiny pool had no realistic chance of shade. The windows were damaged and wouldn’t close properly. The flimsy roof made loud noises whenever a bird or cat walked across it, like someone trying to break in. The walls were so thin we heard everything happening in the nearby flats. Once, a beeping noise from the laundry room went on for three days, and the only way to get away from it was to leave the property. The kitchen was ridiculously poorly equipped, with only the bare minimum. We even had to buy wine and water glasses. What was there was in a terrible state, used or broken. The non-stick pans were scratched, which is toxic. It felt like a poor man’s flea market. If you’re planning to visit Portugal, don’t stay here. There must be something better!
