Apartamento Troia

We had a lovely room, and I think we may even have been upgraded. It was out of season, so there weren’t many people around, which suited us even better. The area has been developed with a lot of respect for the environment. We’ll be back.

A really good resort for families. It’s away from Setúbal city, so prices on the peninsula can run a little higher. There are great restaurants nearby, and the beaches are very clean.

I’ve been coming to Troia Resort as a homeowner for ten years. The beach is paradise and the gardens are lovely, but the support from Troia Resort keeps getting worse. Cleaning is hit or miss, with towels sometimes missing, and the beach bar is very basic. This year’s “differentiating water sports” amounted to a few very old paddle surf boards and kayaks. The staff were difficult to find, often sleeping in the shade, and seemed inexperienced, often unsure what they were doing. At Acqualuz hotel, there was loud children’s entertainment every day, as if they were trying to copy the Panda Festival. Portuguese people will know what I mean. Please!...

A lovely place to visit with great views. The restaurants have prices to suit different budgets, but the supermarket there is expensive compared with the same chain elsewhere.
