Casa Da Almoinha

We felt at home straight away. The hosts are such kind, caring people, and their home is beautiful. There’s so much I could say about how lovely everything was. We’re deeply grateful for all the warmth and kindness.

The rooms are huge, and the lounge, terrace, and gardens are amazing. The decor is unusual and has an artistic feel. A wonderful spot to stay, with a great location. You’ll love it.

Our stay got off to a bad start. We arrived around 1 pm, although check-in wasn’t until 4, and my husband and I never asked to enter our room early. I only needed to use the bathroom. The owner was cold and said we couldn’t use any of the property before check-in. There’s nowhere nearby in this small village to use another bathroom, which made the response feel even less considerate. That lack of welcome and empathy spoiled the experience from the outset. Hospitality should allow for more than rigid rules. I can’t recommend this place.

The room was gorgeous and had everything we needed. The whole house was lovely and very clean, and dona margarida was so sweet and friendly. She also suggested some top restaurants.
