Pensão Estrela

Senhora Otília and her family made us feel completely at home. She’s kindness itself. The atmosphere is peaceful, clean, and well looked after, and the location is great. Excellent value for money. I’ll definitely come back next time I’m in the mountains.

We stayed three nights with our children and felt as though we were at our grandmother’s house. Madame Otilia is a sweetheart, so caring and welcoming. The room had what we needed, the bathroom was clean, and the place is well located and good value. Everything is close by, so there’s no need for a car. Great for a few nights, and I highly recommend Unhais da Serra.

What a terrible experience. The room was awful and freezing, the towels smelled bad, and the bathroom was cold and in very poor shape. After a miserable night, we were left hungry too. We’d paid for breakfast in advance, but dona Otília said she wouldn’t serve it because we’d decided to leave before the agreed time. We felt cheated. That place is truly awful and ought to close. Save yourself the trouble and don’t go there. A camping tent would be much better.

Sra. Otilia was so friendly and easy to talk to, and the place felt welcoming and comfortable. Everything was clean and warm, and we had a very pleasant stay. The bathrooms could use an update, though they were clean and worked fine. Thank you.
