The house itself is great, but the hosts may try to scam you. They tried to keep our deposit after noticing more chairs in the living room than the number of people who booked. They claimed extra people had come to stay because one guest had a van that could fit a lot of people. He's a surfer and used the van to carry his surfboard.

The hosts were awful, looking for things to blame us for or claiming items were missing. The actual shortage was toilet paper: two rolls for six people over five days, with no extra supply. I don't know if race had anything to do with how I was treated, but I felt treated like the missing toilet paper. Honestly, zero.

The house is lovely, but the service was terrible. We spent a whole night without heating, and the small children were shivering. I asked for one night's refund and got almost no response; they then refunded whatever amount they chose. The management was appalling, and the house hadn't even been checked before we arrived.

There was plenty of room for both families, one with two kids and the other with three, and none of us felt crowded. After using the pool, we could cook on the barbecue. Shops were under a five-minute drive away.
