We’ve stayed here three times now, and it’s been excellent every time. The host is so friendly, the rooms are clean, comfortable, and nicely decorated, and the outdoor area is lovely too.

Everything was very clean, and Paulo was genuinely kind and helpful. The B&B is about a 20-minute drive from Aveiro, with a distinctive style. Our room was spacious and cool enough for our age, and I can see why there’s no air conditioning. The private parking is inside, and breakfast was good and very pleasant, with nice music playing in the background. One suggestion: an air freshener might help. Our room had an unpleasant smell, maybe from the cork on the walls, though I’m not sure.

Paulo was discreet, quick to respond, and accommodating. The cottage is lovely and peaceful, near Aveiro and Costa Nova. Its rooms are well equipped, with old-fashioned decor that’s quite nice. Excellent value for money.

We felt very comfortable here during our three nights at the end of September. The house is spacious, with a large bedroom and a bright bathroom. Even though rooms are rented separately, there are shared areas and a kitchen with everything needed for cooking. We happened to be the only guests in the house, so it was wonderfully quiet. Paulo was kind and attentive, and made us a generous breakfast with fresh bread and local pastries, including custard tarts and ovos moles. There’s also a capsule coffee machine, a lovely touch for anyone who likes plenty of coffee. We ate outside on the terrace at first, but it rained on our last day, so Paulo suggested breakfast indoors. In the morning, it was ready with jazz playing. He has a record player and good speakers in the living room, plus a magnificent jazz collection. We came to cycle and explore the Aveiro Estuary, Costa Nova, Mira, and Vagos. The flat stretch linked to the Eurovelo 1 highway is perfect for cycling. We’ll definitely return.
