The view from the Casa is incredible, and the owner made us feel very welcome. He showed us around the vineyard, let us try his homemade port, and gave us bunches of grapes picked straight from the vines. I’d absolutely recommend it.

The host kept in touch and shared some lovely ideas for restaurants and quintas to visit around the valley. We came during the off season and they were very accommodating. The setting is picturesque, and breakfast was amazing. Definitely recommend!

We loved waking up to the sunrise from the big shared balcony, then cooling off in the pool in the hot weather. Perched on the hill, the house is a good distance from the riverside, which made it peaceful and gave us lovely views surrounded by vines. The house itself is amazing, and reception was very professional. Just know it’s a room only stay: breakfast can be arranged, but there’s no tea, coffee, or cutlery in the rooms. A real gem in the Douro Valley.

The countryside setting is a big part of the appeal, with vineyards and green hills all around, even though it’s far from the center. Monica was patient and happy to help with all our questions, making sure we had a pleasant stay. Our room was cozy, clean, and comfortable, and the simple breakfast was just right to start the day. We’ll be back.

We were only here for two days, but had a wonderful time. The pool, rooms, and views were all awesome, and breakfast was wonderful too. Monica, the owner’s daughter, welcomed us warmly, shared her best tips for the region, and even made reservations for us. I definitely recommend staying here. Thanks, Monica!
