Breakfast had lots to choose from, including fresh fruit, cheese, meats and breads. The scrambled eggs and sausages were delicious. Our room was a good size and spotlessly clean, and the location was good. Reception staff were friendly, welcoming, helpful and professional.

The staff were very nice and professional, and breakfast was good. You’re about 5 minutes from the old city and the sea, though the train can be noisy. The room makes a difference: if you’re lucky enough to get a new one, everything’s fine. The older rooms are less good. You can get drunk at the bar all night :)

My room faced a busy street and rail line, with trains passing about every 20 minutes until 10:30. The advice was to shut the window and shutters and switch on the outdated, noisy air conditioner. That might work if you don’t mind trying to sleep in a noisy tomb. When I arrived, there wasn’t a single towel in the room. I was given one, with no bath mat or face cloth, and told it would be replaced the next day. I was booked for two nights. After being out all day, from 9:30 to 3:30, I came back to find the room hadn’t been cleaned and the towel hadn’t been replaced. The young woman at reception was rude and nasty. She said there was only one person for the floor, who worked until 4. No one was cleaning rooms on my floor; mine had simply been skipped. Someone did bring up fresh towels right away, but the receptionist could not have been more hostile. I’m walking my 4th Camino, and this is the only negative review I’ve posted. I wouldn’t recommend this hotel at any price or under any circumstances.

The room was okay, but the receptionist barely made eye contact and was rude. We asked a simple question about directions for starting the Camino route, and she just shrugged and looked away. Really poor customer service. I definitely wouldn’t recommend staying here. Everywhere else we stayed was so helpful.
