Breakfast was such a lovely start to the day. The dining room felt bright and welcoming, with soft green tones, big windows, colorful food laid out beautifully, and views over the village and Rio Lima. The staff were warm and polite, and the tables were set nicely. In the room, though, I missed having coffee or tea. The bathtub was a little small and there was no rain shower. Even so, it was a pleasant stay, and the rooms have an authentic style and unusual views of Rio Lima flowing toward the Atlantic.

The included breakfast was the best I’ve ever had, with so many choices. The staff made a real effort to make sure everyone had what they needed, and I felt like a VIP. The rooms were comfortable and impressive, with great views. Such an amazing place to spend a couple of days.

On a clear day, the view is absolutely breathtaking, especially from a room facing the monument. Service was good, but the rooms felt very dated and noisy, with footsteps from above easy to hear. The bathroom also had sewage smells that came and went. I’d say it’s okay for one night if the view is what you’re after.

The old staircase, amenities, and room decor give the hotel a lot of charm, and the service was impeccable. Parking and breakfast came with no extra charge, which made the price feel especially good for a Grand Hotel style stay. Book a room overlooking the beautiful Santa Luzia church.

The views are incredible, and the place is so beautiful. Everyone was kind, and I loved my stay in Viana. The bed was very hard and the AC was weak, but I’d happily come back again and again.
