Casa da Matriz

The house itself is in good shape, but the listing is misleading because it doesn't say the pool is shared. The pool was also in a deplorable state, really dirty.

The house is charming and makes good use of its space, with some tasteful touches. The pool was pleasant, though it didn't offer much privacy, and the several gates leading to other houses left their purpose unclear. Some damp marks were visible on the bedroom ceilings and inside the lower kitchen cupboards. The living room and kitchen furniture wasn't very comfortable. What left the worst impression was the owner's behavior. He complained about a positive Booking review and wrongly accused us of breaking poolside chairs that were already broken. We hadn't complained about them, assuming the strong sun had worn down the plastic. My daughter sat on one and got hurt because it was broken and crooked, and nobody else went near them. Our review was good, but the owner wanted more. Trying to pressure guests over a review is unacceptable, and after years of using Booking we'd never experienced that before.

Very nice little place, well put together, with a great outdoor area. Calm and quiet.

Loved it! Cozy, nicely furnished, very modern, and there's an outdoor area too. I want to come back!
