The village is quaint and quiet, and the place could be really nice, but there were several problems. The bathroom in our first room smelled unbelievably bad, though we were moved to a better room. WiFi wouldn't stay connected unless I stood right by the router. There wasn't enough lighting around the pool or steps, and the kitchen was missing basics, so I used my own camping cooking gear. It's a shared kitchen, but if a Spanish woman is in there, don't even try to go in. You can't enter even after she's finished.

I had the hotel and pool to myself, and found everything very clean, with tasteful decor and a spacious, bright bathroom. It felt well worth the price. The village is a beautiful, very typical rural spot in inland Alentejo, with good food nearby. The market and bread shop are an easy walk, and the traditional papias biscuits are delicious. I also loved hearing the church bell. The downsides were the small TV, no curtains around the bathtub, and bathtub functions that didn't work.

Sharing the facilities didn't work well. There are no clear rules for common areas, guests seem to forget they're shared, and management doesn't provide enough supervision or guidance. Animals are also allowed around without supervision, which made the experience worse.

The staff were unfriendly and the place wasn't clean. There was no breakfast, despite what Google said, and dogs cost 20 euros per day!

The village is more for exploring the surroundings than the village itself. The Casa is absolutely fantastic to stay in!
