Such a cute little place, way out in the middle of nowhere, so it was wonderfully peaceful. The owner is kind, relaxed and friendly, and breakfast is simple but lovely. The old house can feel cold, though the AC in the room worked well. Really recommend it. Thanks, Eduardo!

The mountain air, comfortable rooms and a wonderful breakfast made the stay special, and every afternoon there was cake on offer. The whole place feels elegant, with beautiful, delicate decor and lovely staff. Quinta do Sorilhal is a unique old home, around 300 years old, once the home of “captain mor.” Eduardo now runs it as a charming guesthouse, like a 21st century capitão mor. It's a chance to step back in time. Don't miss it.

We spent three nights at Quinta do Sorilhal and loved how peaceful it was, with beautiful mountain views and a real sense of history. Breakfast was delicious, with most of the food homemade. Eduardo, Vitor, Graziela and Sónia did so much to make our stay memorable. We highly recommend it and will definitely be back.

Edouardo was such a warm and welcoming host. The old country villa has been turned into an authentic guesthouse, with garden citrus trees and lovely views across the hills. The breakfasts were unbelievably good, the best we had in Portugal. If you're visiting Peneda-Geres national park, this place is a must. Thanks, Edouardo!

Breakfast in the garden was amazing, and the staff were so friendly and helpful. It's a perfect base for visiting the NP Penedea Geres. The place feels like a fairy tale, with a garden of Eden, and is truly one of a kind. Irene & Joy from the Netherlands and Belgium.
