The setting is beautiful and the service was friendly, but the rooms weren’t very comfortable. The mattresses were uncomfortable, there’s no thermal or sound insulation, and you may have to share a house. Breakfast is served away from the residence, at a café down the street.

The apartment itself was okay, but the mattresses weren’t great, there was no air conditioning, there was mold on the walls and in the bathroom, and the shower base was loose. We waited three hours to check in, and the service felt unprofessional and unpleasant overall. Breakfast was at a bakery across the street rather than at the accommodation, and we hadn’t been told this in advance. They didn’t show us a menu, and we could only ask for whatever we fancied. If I hadn’t asked about breakfast, we wouldn’t have been given any information. I don’t recommend it.

Everything was very clean and welcoming. I’d definitely stay again.

The food was a bit bland and artificial, without much traditional flavor, though the bar and restaurant are handy enough that you don’t need to make the 42 km round trip to Abrantes. Meals average about €9-10 per person. The accommodation is reasonably priced for what you get, but it really needs good air conditioning in an area where temperatures can reach 37°C. Parking is difficult, and access isn’t good for people with disabilities. It’s a busy place used by locals as a bar and restaurant, with apartments rented to tourists too.
