I Love Vila do Conde

The apartment was so comfortable and fully equipped that it felt like home. It’s a beautiful place in a fantastic spot, just a short walk from the beach. Porto is 25 minutes away, Braga 30 minutes, and Guimarães 30 minutes. The host was wonderful and always available with advice or help. We really enjoyed our stay and would recommend it to other travelers.

The best nights’ sleep I can remember, and we’re sure we’ll come back. The apartment is right beside a beautiful beach, with good restaurants nearby, places to walk along the shore, connections to other cities, and parking. It was clean and could make a lovely home for two people with a small child. The washer-dryer was so handy that next time I’ll pack fewer clothes. We loved it from the start. Joaquim’s dad was waiting outside the main door and waving to us, and Joaquim’s mum showed us around and gave us lots of hugs. Joaquim was always just a message away for advice and to check that we were happy. We spent 10 days there and met such lovely people. I’d almost keep “ I love Vila do Conde apartment” to myself, but if you’re lucky enough to find an available date, I hope you enjoy it as much as we did!

A nice place to stay. Everything was clean, and the hosts were very thoughtful. It feels like family.

The only thing that let us down was looking out at the neighbors’ apartments, which is why I can’t give five stars. The apartment is at the back of the building, with a view of the neighbors’ laundry and balconies. I’d suggest adding regular curtains alongside the ones already there, since those block all daylight, so some sunlight can come in. Otherwise, it was wonderfully quiet, as if we were the only residents, and the cleaning was immaculate. The kitchenette was well equipped with a coffee machine, electric kettle, fridge, dishes, and more. Coffee, water, and tea were provided as a nice little touch. Sr. Joaquim has everything well organized, with a first-aid drawer in the bathroom and fire extinguishers near the kitchenette. There’s air conditioning in the living room and bedroom, though the unit in the bedroom is poorly positioned. The bed was very comfortable and the bedding was top quality. Joaquim’s parents gave us a warm welcome and were very kind.
