The place was comfortable and within walking distance of everything. The kitchen setup was very basic, though: no toaster, just one coffee cup, no soap dish, and no laundry detergent. We bought some for ourselves and whoever came after us.

Two couples were left without the apartment we had booked for a week in Santa Maria. There is very little accommodation on the island, so this was a real problem. Please be very careful if you book here: Mr. Manuel Lisboa did not keep his word.
