The pool terrace has a wonderful view, and you can watch both sunrise and sunset from the same spot. It’s so quiet here, too, at the end of the road with no one passing by to disturb the peace. We wished we could stay longer and hope to come back one day. Our hosts, Agostinho and Ofelia, were lovely and helped with everything, making our stay even more special. Breakfast was luxurious and beautifully served, with homemade orange juice and cheeses. The rooms were spotless and comfortable, with really good beds. The shared kitchen was well equipped, and there was a coffee machine for guests to use for free. The most beautiful place we’ve ever visited. I wish I could move here. Thank you, A & O :)

Monte do Forno feels like a special place, and you can see how much care everyone puts into looking after it. We loved the peaceful surroundings, the owners’ kindness and attentiveness, and how clean the house and pool were. The pool has a wonderful view, and at night the stars are stunning, something we don’t get to see in big cities.

We loved the hospitality and kindness of Agostinho’s family and hope to come back for a longer stay. The rooms are spacious, attractive, clean, and comfortable, and breakfast is great, with fresh orange juice, fresh cheese, and natural products from the region. In the late afternoon, the pool is perfect for a quiet swim. Monte do Forno is a lovely spot to relax, enjoy the silence, and admire the starry sky over inland Algarve! Leonor Cruz

Agostinho and Ofelia are the best part of the stay. Their hospitality makes you feel at home, and they do all they can to help you feel comfortable. The accommodation itself is excellent, with very spacious, clean rooms. It’s a 15-minute drive from the beaches, away from the bustle of nearby areas, so it’s completely peaceful. We’ll definitely return.
