HI Vila Nova Cerveira Pousada Juventude - Hostel

I only checked in about an hour ago after a long walk, but Sam at reception gave me a first class welcome. This place looks like a great find, especially compared with some more expensive places I’ve stayed. I’d definitely recommend it!

A really nice hostel for pilgrims, right on the Camino and in a great location. It has the basics you need for a short stay, and the staff were very kind. They gave us great tips about the city and where to have dinner. Our room was clean, with its own spotless bathroom. Breakfast was great too, with some vegan options. I recommend it.

The hotel has river views and it’s an easy short walk into the town centre. It’s very well priced, and I’ll stay here again when I’m in the area. The town is lovely, and you should head up to the lookout points if you can, ideally at sunset. We were part of a big group, and reception had everything organised, so check-in was quick and easy. Our private room was clean and nice, with a spacious bathroom. The timed taps took a little getting used to, but it was easy enough. There’s a pleasant lounge area and parking off the street, including a space for an electric car. The continental breakfast had a good range and everything tasted nice. I noticed there was a kitchen and laundry drying, but I didn’t use either.

Clean, quiet and tidy, close to the old town and the railway station. Breakfast was so good: bread, cheese, ham, tomatoes, fruit, tea, coffee, juice, cereal, yogurt, jam and honey. Yum. I’d stay again. Thanks!
