Parque de Campismo Orbitur Canidelo

We spent three nights in our campervan. Maybe we were a bit unlucky with our pitch, which seemed to catch the onshore winds, while the others looked fine. Porto is easy to reach. We planned to take public transport but ended up using Bolt. There’s a fantastic restaurant within walking distance.

The beach is just across the street from this nice campground and its huts. The staff were really friendly and helpful. When my car battery broke down, they helped me get it fixed so we could leave.

The campsite was handy for visiting Porto, and we took the bus and metro to see the old town. It’s quite crowded, with pitches very close together, and the facilities are basic and due for an upgrade. There was construction next door, so noise was inevitable. The pool and its attached shower rooms were open. The accessible room was much nicer than the one in the regular block, but its floor was incredibly slippery and needs attention. I’m also not sure why the shower is so low. Some people with hidden disabilities need a shower at a normal height.

We stayed for two nights and will definitely return. Porto is easy to visit from here, with Uber the simplest option and not expensive. The bathrooms look a bit tired, but they were spotless, cleaned regularly, and had hot showers. All the staff were lovely, especially Caesar, who gave me great tips for visiting Porto.
