Porto River Soul Hotel

Mariana deserves a gold medal from her manager for how thoughtful she was. The new hotel is spotless, with what are probably the best views in Porto. My room was well equipped, with balcony seating overlooking the harbour, a Nespresso machine, kettle, safe, rain shower, and a large bottle of complimentary water. The fourth-floor outdoor lounge is fantastic. This place is a gem, and I'll be back.

We spent two nights here and would happily stay again. The staff were lovely and doing their best, though it was clear that the newly opened hotel was still ironing things out. Our stay included a welcome drink and a restaurant discount, which were nice extras. For the price, the location across the river is a great deal: cross the bridge and you're in the old town. From the hotel you look out over the old town and bridge, and I actually prefer that view to staying on the other side. I recommend it.

The restaurant and its service were wonderful, and the staff were incredibly kind about our changing plans. We stayed two extra nights after I got food poisoning somewhere else, and they happily brought extra tea and lots of sparkling water. The hotel was spotless and beautiful, with a lovely position above the river and views toward Porto. It became a trip highlight, even while I was recovering. I'd give it six stars if I could!

We spent three nights here and were happy with the stay from start to finish. The hotel feels new, modern, and very clean, and the location is convenient and safe, with a bus stop right outside. For sunset, you can just settle on the terrace with tea or wine. I'd definitely book a river-view room with a terrace for that amazing view.
