Casa Mar Azul

The house is yellow and sits on a corner. When I booked through booking, the event Google Calendar created automatically showed a different address, for a place about 200m away. The house was almost empty, so our very friendly host upgraded us to a larger room with an awesome balcony where I could exercise. It was really comfortable, and the bathroom door had such good insulation that you couldn’t hear anything with it closed, so it felt very private. The host also gave us friendly tips on places to visit, see, and eat, and there’s a hidden path down to the dunes.

A small trail behind Casa Mar Azul goes up a sand dune and on toward the cliffs, with an amazing sea view. The house is on a quiet street at the edge of town, between the town and the dunes. For me, the location was perfect: away from town noise and traffic for a good night’s rest, but still close enough to walk to the lively nightlife, about 8-10m from the accommodation. My room was a good size, neat and clean, with a TV, kettle, and small fridge, and the bed was really comfortable. The staff always gave spot-on suggestions when I asked where to eat, drink, or sightsee. The owner was kind and helpful too, and even carried my bag to the car when he saw my back was bad from a paddle board injury. A great place to stay when visiting Milfontes.

The room was clean and nice, and the staff were really helpful, sharing lots of useful information. The apartment is very close to two beaches, one on the ocean side and one on the river side.

We arrived late and got a free upgrade. The hosts were helpful, and the room was clean and nice.
