I gave it five stars to give the place a boost, though I think it’s more like a 4.3. The staff were very friendly, and the spa and playground were clean, fun, and great for kids. Some things look worn with age, so don’t expect a polished, fancy look. The kitchen was moderately equipped. Good for families, and prices are affordable, especially off season.

Want to unwind after a long day on holiday? Not here. The emergency light stayed on all night, bright enough to light up the room and read by. When I asked the supposedly caring staff, they just said it was my problem and told me to cover the light myself if I wanted to sleep in the living room. What a joke. Thanks for nothing!

It’s a nice place for a family holiday, close to the beach, and the apartments have all the necessary amenities. They are quite old and could do with renovation. The cocktail bar and pool table close at dinner time, but staying open later could offer a fun evening option in a town without much else to do for entertainment.

The hotel itself is nice, but dinner at the restaurant was a big disappointment. We waited an hour, then my meal turned out to be a few small pieces of tasty pork, a gelatinous green lump, and some potato chips sitting in pork juice. My husband got a piece of meat surrounded by thicker-cut potato chips. It wasn’t what we’d come to expect from restaurants in Portugal, especially at a price higher than the meal was worth.
