Residencial Villa Marquez

I left early because the dust in the room was making me ill. I have dust allergies, and staying there wasn’t helping. I also never got a refund for the night I couldn’t stay. During my Sep 2-7-2025 stay, the room was dusty, and the managers seemed to nickel-and-dime guests. If you’re looking for somewhere nice, I’d say don’t stay there. Dr. B

The apartment was spacious, clean, and pet friendly, right in the center. It’s only a two-minute walk to the river and the old town, where there are lots of cute shops and restaurants. A great spot on the river border between Spain & Portugal.

I was traveling solo and wanted a comfortable central place to sleep on my first night in Portugal. VM fit what I needed: a comfy bed, clean white sheets, helpful staff, and a really nice rooftop terrace and communal kitchen. My room was small, but the price suited that and it worked great for me. If you expect the Hilton, this may not be your place. I’m rating it for value and for what I needed.

The location is great, and the room, though a little small, was very clean. Everyone can use the balcony, which has a nice view, and the people there are great and very friendly. The kitchen only has a microwave.
