The standout for us was the service. Celeste went out of her way to make our stay pleasant, even walking us to a restaurant and making sure we got a table on a cold evening. The location, distinctive decor, and atmosphere were all fantastic too. The hotel felt like stepping back in time.

Breakfast was served in our room because of the COVID19 pandemic, and it was divine: seasonal fruit, fresh bread, fragrant coffee, and delicious eggs. The staff were friendly, and the restaurant they work with to arrange meals was nice too. The place was spotless, with beautiful granite walls and decor. I loved the Portuguese guitar on the wall and all the memorabilia.

The hosts were especially nice, and the hotel was extremely clean. It’s a charming boutique place in a historic stone building from the 1700s, right in central Vouzela, a town in the district of Viseu in North Portugal. A perfect base for a weekend getaway and for exploring nearby areas.

Here tonight, and it’s been nice so far. It’s an old world stone building with only a few rooms, but everything is presented really well. Hope the breakfast is good.
