Crowne Plaza Asuncion by IHG

Viana at reception was wonderful and so helpful. When the first taxi she arranged couldn't take credit cards, she found another driver who tried hard to process mine, though it still didn't work. Credit cards aren't typically accepted in Paraguay. I also lost my small travel wallet in the taxi, but Viana and the driver recovered it for me, and I'll always be grateful to them both. The rooms were very large and clean, with the best bathroom and shower. I can't say enough good about this hotel and staff, and I'd definitely stay again. Thank you Crown Plaza Hotel.

We had our civil marriage ceremony here, and it was awesome. The reception team deserves a lot of credit, we can't thank them enough. The pool lit up at night and added a great touch to the atmosphere. I'd highly recommend staying in the Presidential suite.

The staff really made this hotel great. They were ready to help with anything, including booking a couple of city tours that picked us up right at the hotel. Our family of five stayed eight nights in two rooms, one triple and one double. Both were nice, though the double's toilet was so close to the counter that I had to sit sideways. The triple had a much larger bathroom. Breakfast was amazing and well worth the extra fee. There's also a restaurant and bar onsite. The location wasn't great, not because it felt dangerous, but because there isn't much nearby. We had to take an Uber to get around. A Biggie grocery store about a block and a half away was handy for snacks, and the closest ATM was around a 15 minute walk.

The rooms felt dated, though the rest of the hotel had been updated, and the buffet breakfast was decent. We were happy it was an ihg hotel, and it was our best option for staying near the main sights in town. Most attractions were walkable, or just a quick Uber ride away.
