The owner was friendly and helpful, and you can get a really good coffee there in the morning. It's a clean, quiet and comfortable place, with a mattress that was nice to sleep on. Good for kids. I'd recommend it.

The garden and apartment are great, but the cleaning was a disaster. The fridge stank and the floor hadn't been washed.

It was really quiet, with no traffic or other noise, and the shaded yard had lots of flowers and trees. The rooms were clean and cool too. There's a small fridge in the room, plus you can use the ones in the yard or kitchen.

What stood out to me was the generous space and how well the place was looked after. Our room, like the other five double rooms on that floor, was spacious, clean and comfortable. The furniture was nicely chosen and went well with the rugs and blankets. We had a large double bed and a separate bed for our child, two bedside tables, a wardrobe big enough for our clothes, and a small table with two stools. The bathroom was separate, roomy, well ventilated and drained properly. The shower cabin was spacious, with its own curtain, and there was a hairdryer. Soap and shampoo sachets were there too, like in a hotel. The bathroom window had a screen as well as the door, so we had no trouble with smells or insects. The room also had a small fridge and TV. The guesthouse has a kitchen in the yard, with utensils, a stove and a grill available if you bring your own ingredients. You can make cakes or grill food there. There were two or three kinds of dishwashing detergent, disinfectant and alcohol in large plastic containers by the entrance, and a big refrigerator where you could keep whatever you wanted. The garden made it feel like a peaceful oasis, with fragrant flowers, fresh grass and fruit trees full of fruit. The shade was a real help during the hot afternoons when the beach became too much. Among the trees you could catch a bit of sea breeze and see, in the distance, a little of the construction site and the advertising planes passing above the tourists along the shore. Mrs. Liliana, who manages the pension, was sociable and pleasant, and made sure guests had what they needed. I liked that we became friends. She told me that she and the owners had been childhood friends. I didn't interact much with them since they're busy and hardworking, but I have only praise for them. Compared with other pensions where I've stayed in Mangalia and in the mountains, this one offered a lot of space, very good conditions and quality service. It's about a seven minute walk to the sea, rather than right by the beach, but La Babusca deserves good publicity and a visit.
