I had a paid reservation through Booking, but when I arrived they said it was invalid and blamed Booking. Other people had also received rooms through Booking, so maybe they gave rooms to those who paid more. The owner tried, or seemed to try, to help us find somewhere else, but we left and found a much pricier place. Someone called the day before the first reservation day and was told everything was fine. The strange part was that the woman at reception said the number we'd called belonged to someone in the USA, while the owner told us we'd actually called him.

They take your money, then act as if they don't know anything. A scam. Don't book here, and spread the word about these fakers.

After dozens of bookings, this was the first time owners tricked me and canceled my room reservation when I was standing at their hotel door. I'd paid beforehand, but when I arrived they shrugged and blamed the platform. I wasn't the only one in this situation. The owners pretended to look for alternatives until we found another, more expensive place. We also learned that several other people in Alba Iulia had run into the same thing. Advice for anyone going to this city: double-check your reservation. As for this accommodation, being near a cemetery and a Russian gas station doesn't make for a cheerful morning. The place itself is nothing to write home about, except for leaving an online review to warn others.
