The owners were extremely friendly and helpful, and you can tell they really care about guests. The food was excellent, with lots of local specialties. When we asked about having something, they made it for the next day, and it was really good. We ate more than we meant to. There’s spring water from the street, fresh good coffee for free, free local spirits, and milk from their own well-fed cow, which tasted good and had no “cow smell.” There’s plenty of parking, some of it covered. The house is well built and good looking, the rooms and bathrooms were nice, and we had no problems. The hillside view is excellent. A couple of small drawbacks: the Wi-Fi doesn’t reach the back rooms, so you have to go to the garden or lunchroom, and the people only speak Romanian, though they can use a mobile phone to translate. Where there was reception, the Wi-Fi worked well and was fast, around 20-40 Mbps from Digi. We were very satisfied.

The rooms were warm and clean, and the beds made for a good night’s sleep. When the person at reception realized we had a problem, they kindly let us use their car to get to the nearest hospital. They were waiting for us when we got back with a big platter of polenta, cheese, sour cream, and sausages. It was an awesome experience, and I totally recommend it.

The view is splendid, and it’s a great spot for families or small groups. The hosts were great, the bed was comfy, and the room was warm.
