The guesthouse has a peaceful little outdoor area with an open kitchen, where you can make yourself a coffee, which is on the house, or prepare something to eat. There’s a playground for children, and older guests can borrow a bike for a ride through the park. We spent two lovely days at Vila de pe Lac Guesthouse, right in Amara’s resort and inside the large dendrological park described as the biggest in southeastern Europe. Its shady paths wind among many kinds of rare trees and shrubs, making for a calm, refreshing walk. The villa itself felt like a quiet retreat, with a secure courtyard for parking. Electric car charging is available there from a socket powered by photovoltaic panels.
