Best Western Central Hotel

What made me smile was the little detail in the elevator: they change the rug every day so you can tell what day it is. The staff were friendly and ready to help whenever needed. Our room, including the toilet, was very clean, and finding a parking space at the hotel was easy. Breakfast offered a good variety. The location is handy for Arad's center and main tourist spots. I’d recommend staying here if you’re visiting Arad.

Breakfast was tasty and a great way to start the day. My room was spotless, and the staff gave really good service, making sure I was comfortable. The price felt very affordable for the quality, so I’d recommend it to anyone after a pleasant, budget-friendly stay.

The bathroom was on the narrow side, though clean and practical. Staff were helpful and very friendly. We got in late, but could phone in a food order for the kids before the restaurant kitchen closed. Breakfast was included, with a tasty range of choices.

The friendliest part of the stay was the staff, and the location is close to downtown. Beyond that, I wouldn't recommend this hotel. It looks gloomy inside and out, with the lobby and restaurant kept dark, apparently to save electricity. It's an old communist-era hotel in Arad, Romania, taken over by Best Western, and the room was only okay because it felt very dated. The shower was tiny, and the water was barely warm. Breakfast upset my stomach. It also feels very expensive for what's offered. The place gives the impression of an owner or general manager who's absent and doesn't care about guests. I'd avoid it whether heading into or out of Romania.
