What made our stay special was how professional and kind the whole staff were. They treated us like family and were eager to share their culture, food, and drinks with us. The rustic A-frame cabins sit beside a stream, not far from the trailhead.

A good spot for an overnight stay, with a spacious, clean room. The restaurant serves generous traditional meals, and the staff are friendly.

The staff were very helpful and friendly, and it felt like being with family. The food was good, and the river nearby smells wonderful. I do think the place could be improved with a bit of investment, including the rooms. We were on the top floor, near the staff shower. They only showered after their shift, after 11 p.m., and the noise was quite noticeable, though we could put up with it.

The room was okay, though unfortunately there was no insect screen. The restaurant meal was the real disappointment. I ordered the vegan option, which was meant to be 500 grams of vegetables and tofu, but it was more like half a bag of frozen vegetables, barely cooked, plus one dry, chewy piece of no-name tofu. No seasoning, no sauce, nothing, and it cost 35 lei. For that price, they could at least have used fresh vegetables, added some salad, or cooked the tofu with sauce or in the oven. It could have tasted like an actual meal instead of a joke.

We had a great weekend in one of the cabins by the river. The stairs are steep, which made going up and down with a baby a little awkward, but after a few trips it didn’t seem like a problem. The food was good and the staff were very nice. It’s also a handy location, less than an hour from the main places you’d want to visit during a stay here.
