The hosts were the heart of the stay: such caring, kind people, with a good sense of humor. Everything they brought out was homemade and phenomenal. Breakfast had homemade cheeses, sausages, salami, cottage cheese, eggplant spread, scrambled eggs, tea, and more. I loved the broth, the Bologna-style meatballs were unbelievably tasty, and the cake was made with fruit they'd grown themselves. The setting felt wonderfully rural and homely, and the view was great. It was a dream.
