The Sas family made us feel very welcome. It’s a fairytale-like place, with excellent food and service.

We felt so welcome thanks to the GLODEANCA team, and the whole area has that magical, fairytale feel. Maramureş is known for its hospitality and quality service, and this stay lived up to that. We’ll definitely return whenever we get the chance to spend time at GLODEANCA. I’d recommend it to anyone after a few relaxing, enjoyable days in Maramureş! 👍👍👍🫶

The food was so good I came away a few pounds heavier 😅. We booked two rooms for three nights, and the hosts and employees were friendly and ready to help. The rooms strike a great balance between traditional and modern, and the location feels like a little corner of heaven. We had a great stay and will definitely come back.

Take a walk through Glod village after dinner. The locals smile, greet you, and stop for a chat, and the old wooden church there is a must-see. We were lucky enough to join a local ceremony, too. Pensiunea Glodeanca is a lovely base in Glod, 8 km from Barsana Monastery, with old wooden churches and beautiful nature nearby. The Glodeanca family makes you feel at home, and serves very good traditional homemade dishes. The rooms are spacious, clean, and great, and the hosts really feel like family.
