The apartment was huge and well laid out, with two balconies and two bathrooms. We travelled with two children, but the internet in apartment 710 was so poor that they had to sit on the hallway couch to play Roblox. Low water pressure was another real problem. There was no water on the first morning, we couldn’t use the whirlpool tub, and showers were affected too. The lifts also took a long time when the hotel was full. Food was amazing, with a rich breakfast, and the beer selection was decent. The bar had a cozy, intimate atmosphere. The baths were great, with jacuzzis, a pool, sauna, salt rooms, and massage. If you want to feel better and pampered, this place has a lot to offer. Our group of 125 was there for a Bootcamp. The hotel itself was nice, service was great, and check-in was immediate since reception wasn’t crowded. Check-out was a bit congested, but nothing too bad. The location is amazing, with great views of the surrounding mountains and other hotels. We got to discover the historic spa resort of Herculane, a place with so much history and potential. It’s a great shame the people governing it haven’t helped it reach that potential. It would dwarf Karlovy Vary or other spas. As Franz Josef said, it is (was) the greatest spa on the continent.

The food was good, and the spa area has plenty of pools, saunas, and places to relax. Staff were very welcoming and friendly, and the services were good quality. Parking spaces are insufficient throughout the area.

We went for a long weekend, and I got the sense the hotel wasn’t ready for full days. The first morning there was no water, so we couldn’t bathe. The elevators are slow and poorly programmed, and getting just one floor up or down can take as long as 20 minutes. At breakfast you’re supposed to reserve a table, but nobody told us, so some people got angry when we took theirs. The spa has only a few sunbeds and chairs, leaving nowhere to sit if you go down later and want to rest between baths. The room and food were fine, and the staff were relatively nice. That’s about it.

The staff were polite and helpful, and the spa has lots of options. The buffet dinner deserves six stars. There were loads of vegan choices too. Praise to the chef and the whole kitchen staff!

I chose this hotel for its spine treatments, and I was very pleased. I had treatment for my lower back, thoracic, and cervical areas. The doctor-recommended treatment combined with my massage from Andrei, who’s also a physiotherapist, got me back on track. Suna at the Spa gave me a relaxing massage and she’s very good, but if you want therapeutic massage, I strongly recommend Andrei. The staff were very friendly and helpful, and my double room was clean and cozy. The food was very good too. It was an amazing experience, and I’ll be back in October this year. Thank you!!!!
