The free public thermal baths are right by the hotel, and the indoor thermal pool is fantastic. I stayed one night, found the room very comfortable, and had a great house special Cordon Bleu for dinner, followed by a good breakfast. Reception and restaurant staff were friendly, helpful, and professional. The outside looks a bit aged, but it's hard not to recommend the place. Great value for money.
We love Hotel Roman for the pool, its great location, and some of the old-school decor. The staff are super friendly, and the third-floor bar has such a special atmosphere that it's a must to visit. The bartender makes the LITERALLY best Aperol Spritz in Romania, and I've tried a lot of them. Five stars for that. Please preserve some of those old-school touches and people, because they're what make this place unique.
For time travelers, I highly recommend this amazing historic museum hotel. They’re trying hard with the service, and it works. The restaurant was a real surprise, and you can have breakfast whenever you want. This is a lovely place where the impossible can become possible. Just remember, tomorrow is another day, but don't count on it.
The building looks so nice and old, but the room was cold and the only way to heat it was with the aircon. The bathtub was stained yellow, the blanket was cold, and the management seemed to lack care for the clients. Breakfast was included in the booking, but you had to pay extra if you ordered more.
The forest views outside are fantastic, and the pool is surrounded by beautiful murals. The indoor pool is great, with very warm water and a shallow area for the kids to play in. We'll definitely come back to the pool in fall. The hotel's restaurant is okay too.
