We had an amazing time here in summer, with a hot sulfur pool on site. It’s maybe 300 meters from the center, across a small bridge at the back of the street. The owner is super modern and relaxed. When we visited, she kept the fridge full of drinks and left out a notebook to write down anything you took, all on the honor system. No stress about carrying a card or being hassled Romanian-style for taking a beer. We’ll come back.

Everyone was caring and really helpful, and they even washed our clothes. In the morning we had homemade zacusca, jam, and local vegetables for breakfast. The pension is new, nice, and clean. Its summer terrace is amazing, a lovely place to eat breakfast, do yoga, or just relax and watch the river from a hot water pool. Amazing place!

The rooms were nice and clean, the staff very polite and helpful, and the variety of food was absolutely okay. My daughter is gluten, lactose, and egg intolerant, and they prepared her an amazing breakfast. A big thank you for that. There’s a real spirit of hospitality here. The hotel is close to the center but quiet, and it has a really nice stair terrace with a pool. Parking is only possible on the street, there’s no hotel parking area. The only negative was that payment was cash only. In 2021, I don’t think a card terminal is an extra. We’ll return, I’m sure. Highly recommended.
