Absolutely lovely!

It was fine.

We wished we could have stayed longer than the weekend. The guesthouse felt welcoming, and the family who run it made us feel at home. They were hospitable and thoughtful, especially with our two-year-old niece along, and made sure we had what we needed, including extra bedding if necessary. From our balcony we could admire the Domogled mountains, with forests and quietly flowing water all around. Our room and bathroom were well kept, with clean sheets and towels. There’s a lovely outdoor area to relax by the beach, and the barbecue is free to use for dinner outside. Thanks to the hosts. We’ll recommend the guesthouse to our friends and hope to come back.

The nicest part was the terrace beside the Cerna. We had lunch there and spent the evenings listening to the water with a beer. The location is the only reason I’m giving two stars. Otherwise, it would be one. The room was small and the furniture old. There was even a dangerously protruding nail at one corner of the bed. The host also refused to give me a tax receipt, saying I hadn’t requested one. When I passed by after returning from Herculane yesterday, I noticed the thermal water pool had been removed from the sign above the entrance. There’s no parking space, so you have to hope you find somewhere nearby on the extremely narrow street.
