Rai Village

The food we tried, including that day's meal, was tasty, and breakfast was good too: milk from local producers, great cheese, bacon, eggs, and coffee. Rai Village is in a beautiful, quiet spot near Cheile Banitei and Pestera Bolii. After reading Patrick's review once we'd booked, I was worried, but the houses are real containers, decorated beautifully, and match the photos exactly. The main drawback is the lack of air conditioning. I hope the owners consider adding it, along with extra window curtains, as both would add value.

The mountain scenery in Romania made the week worthwhile on its own, and there were plenty of nice spots nearby to relax or explore. Rai Village felt welcoming because everyone was so pleasant, and the restaurant had lots of delicious local food to try. My room was comfortable and well furnished, with a real home-away-from-home feel. It's easy to overlook this place and hard to leave. I can't wait to visit again.

We needed to recharge after a long bike trip through the Transfagarasan and Transalpina, and Rai Village was a great place to do that. The hosts' service was out of this world, and we found good food from local producers. We'd come back anytime!

The bonfire treats were tasty and made an already lovely stay even better. Our apartment was cozy, with tasteful decor, rustic furniture, and a modern bathroom, just right for unwinding. We felt welcomed and cared for thanks to the wonderful kindness and hospitality. Rai Village was peaceful and friendly, and we can't wait to return!
