Casa Bazna

Our room was in a separate cottage, and it was large, clean, and opened onto a big terrace overlooking the garden. The spa complex is about 1.5-2 km from the accommodation. We didn’t find the staff very friendly, and the bedclothes looked wrinkled, as if they’d already been used. Breakfast runs from 7 to 8:30 AM. We arrived at 8:10, but there wasn’t much left, even though we paid the same as guests who came earlier to a full table.

We were there for two days, and both breakfast and dinner were cold, tasteless, and the same each day. The bar was open, but they couldn’t give change. The host was okay, though not particularly good, and the location isn’t suitable for people with disabilities. The first room we were shown had mold in the bathroom and could only be reached by a steel staircase. After we asked to move, the second room had a terrible smell and a bathroom leak, with water coming from both the toilet and shower tray. I wouldn’t recommend this place.

The inside terrace was pleasant, with plenty of space for pets, and there’s a pool, though it’s quite small. Prices seemed fair for what’s offered. The setting is nice, almost central, with lovely views and places nearby worth visiting. The service was fine but nothing special. Our room was a bit dirty, and there was rust around the shower joints. It was also a little cold despite the extra blankets, and I think the heater should have been turned on. The place is worth a visit, but I’d pick somewhere else next time.

The place itself is nice and our room was pretty clean. The waitresses were rude, like at most hotels in Romania. It was also uncomfortable that nobody mentioned we couldn’t pay by card.
